Throughout my travels I've always been proud to be an American and never more so than I am now that Barack Obama is about to become the 44th president of the United States. For the first time I truly believe the world now looks at America totally different and that my son and his generation may actually have a future. But no matter what happens in the next few years one thing I know for certain, there is hope.

The Olympic Sculpture Park is part of the Seattle Art Museum. This park, is free to all and contains a large collection of giant sculptures. The sculptures are very unique: one even consists of a decaying tree housed in a mock canopy. Don't miss this interesting park on your trip to Seattle.

Pioneer Sqaure, is a great historical place to visit when in Seattle. Check out all the shops, art galleries, places to eat, and public sculptures. It's also a good place to enjoy a street performance or two.

There are lots of book stores in Pioneer Square, but this one happens to be gigantic. You could easily get lost in the store or feel lost trying to decide which book to buy. To help you decide many people write mini reviews for any given book on the book shelf. Check it out if you are in Seattle and have an urge to read.

Find out how to cross the series of highways and major streets that separate Pike Place Market from the Seattle Aquarium and Waterfront Park, located right next to the aquarium.

If you are planning on visiting the University of Washington while in Seattle, check out the Travelodge nearby. It's just a 10 minute bus ride into campus. With spacious rooms and a friendly staff this is a great deal.

With clean rooms and a very friendly and helpful front desk staff, the Days Inn Downtown is great for the price you pay. It's affordable, clean, and close to downtown and the space needle.
